On September 30, our county held a memorial ceremony for the martyrs' Memorial Day in 2018 at the county martyrs' cemetery, deeply remembering the great achievements of the revolutionary martyrs, carrying forward the lofty spirit of the revolutionary martyrs, reposing infinite sorrow and comforting the martyrs.
On the day of the event, more than 500 people, including leaders of four county-level teams, representatives of units directly under the county, military (police) stationed in Napo, and representatives of teachers and students participated in the public memorial ceremony. They sang "the National Anthem of the people's Republic of China" to the martyrs who were sleeping here, and the young pioneers sang "we are the successors of communism". Huang Lin, Secretary of the county Party committee, presented flower baskets to the martyrs on behalf of the leaders of the four leading groups in the county. All the staff members paid a silent tribute to the martyrs, visited the monument and the martyrs' tombstones, and paid homage to the martyrs' legacy and soul.
Nongbin, head of the people's Government of the county, presided over the ceremony. Huang Lin, Secretary of the county Party committee, read a memorial address at the ceremony. He said: the extraordinary years are still vivid in my eyes. Standing here, looking back on those years, countless heroes and revolutionary martyrs shed their heads and blood in order to believe, ideal and light. More than 1000 heroes and heroines in various periods of socialist revolution and construction have been sleeping in Napo. They fought bravely and sacrificed their lives bravely for the liberation and independence of the nation, the revitalization and development of the country, and the happiness and peace of the people. They have composed a magnificent poem which is full of praiseworthy mountains. It is their firm revolutionary belief that "one hundred thousand heads of blood must be saved to restore the power of heaven and earth" and the spirit of sacrifice of "one heart and one mind to march forward in the face of the enemy's artillery fire", which brought about today's peace era.
Huang Lin stressed: drinking water to think of the source, you should work hard to encourage yourself. All departments at all levels in the county should take the martyrs as an example, learn from the spirit of martyrs, inherit the will of martyrs, vigorously advocate the concept of "responsibility oriented, practical work oriented, development oriented, struggle for glory", work hard and forge ahead, contribute their own strength to promote the healthy economic and social development of the county, accelerate the development, and comfort the martyrs for their brilliant achievements in catching up and revitalizing development; All Party members and cadres in the county should learn from the political character of revolutionary martyrs and revolutionary predecessors who are loyal to revolutionary ideals and devote themselves to revolutionary cause, strengthen their self-confidence in the road, theory, system and culture of socialism with Chinese characteristics; learn from their ideological realm of loving and benefiting the people, enhance the concept of the masses, establish a sense of serving the people, and play the vanguard role of Party members and cadres, We should learn from their noble demeanor of bearing hardships first and enjoying the latter, perform their duties in their own posts, blaze new trails, and sprinkle our own blood and sweat on the revolutionary land of Napo, so as to achieve the goal of poverty alleviation in the whole county and make new and greater contributions to the prosperity and stability of the border areas!
